3 days ago, I announced my biggest business rebrand yet.

And today, I welcome you to the 1st ever edition of my rebranded newsletter, The Essentialist CEO.

As I was redesigning my ecosystem, I thought hard about one big question:

I needed something that’ll do justice to the new brand philosophy.

After a LOT of thinking (and a LOT of failed 1st drafts), I finally got the words that filled me with excitement!

Master any 1 and you’ll see SIGNIFICANT progress.

Master all 5 and you’ll be living THE DREAM.

Let’s go over them one by one.

Note: Each element represents a particular principle, priority or goal. It’s not a rigid dogma you must follow or a cookie cutter template you must adhere to. It’s not a prescription, but a guide. The ultimate goal is that you take the overarching concept and find a way to make it beautifully, uniquely, authentically YOURS.

I focus my work on teaching you the structure of each element and then giving you guidance on how to apply it to your goals, your business, your life.

Objective → Stop competing on price. You are premium & the market respects it.

The first element is all about clarity.

Most consultants operate with the “let me try to help anyone and everyone” mindset. There’s no differentiation. As a result, they compete hard on price and stay under-appreciated.

All because they never learn the essential skill of saying “NO”.

When you become specific about who you help, get clear on the specific outcome you deliver for them, and focus ALL your efforts on becoming THE BEST person to help them, you start unlocking the power of element 1.

This is the core. Everything else flows from this foundation.

If you’re struggling in your business, ensure you master this first. Nailing Element 1 makes all other elements a LOT easier!

Objective → Predictable client acquisition. No more feast or famine cycles

This element is the toughest in terms of HARD skills.

Many pieces need to work together:

If this seems overwhelming, don’t worry. You don’t need to be PERFECT at this to start seeing success. Even I don’t have EVERYTHING dialed down in the elements.

As the CEO of your business, your job is to slowly but steadily invest time into building these pieces. In fact, I’ve seen it over and over again that chipping away at everything that goes into this element will, over time, yield compounding effects.

At first, it’ll be painful. Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and resistance WILL show up. But if you keep putting in the reps, they’ll all go away.

And the leads will start flowing (I promise you!).

Not surprisingly, we spend a LOT of time in our community getting this right.

Objective → Deliver premium results & transformations consistently

What happens when a client decides to trust you and says YES.

Elements 3 is about ensuring we deliver an experience that showcases the true value of working with you. Your confidence and clarity rub off on them. And they start believing that YES, they can achieve the results.

From the very first step, your brand is being evaluated.

And if we want to be establish a premium authority, we create an experience SO AMAZING that they can’t help but talk about us!

That’s the goal.

Objective → Operate like a CEO. Think strategically, not reactively.

Life as a mediocre consultant is painful.

2 clients with different personas and requirements. Every week, you are thinking about what work needs to be done. And you need to do all of it yourself (since it’s the first time). Leaving you almost NO time to focus on element 2- your lead generation.

That’s NOT the life we signed up for, right?

We want to play the CEO game, not the freelancer game.

As the CEO, you run a business where:

Element 4 is about working ON the business so you become more productive working IN the business. Remember: You are a CEO, not a freelancer.

Objective → Master the mindset, energy, and identity that make everything else possible

A brutal reality I’ve learned after years of being in business:

You can have the best strategy in the world, but if you don't have the mindset, energy management, and CEO identity to execute consistently, the strategy alone won't work.

If I could, I would shout this from the freaking rooftops. It is THE area that I see struggling entrepreneurs want to skip over. And yet, time and time again, it is THE blocker to their growth.

Which is my, this element deserves a separate place.

Entrepreneurship is the true vehicle for radical personal growth. It tests you in SO MANY different ways:

If every other element remains the same, but you master this, you’ll see SIGNIFICANT progress in terms of actions you take every day.

And if you keep taking the right action, the results are bound to follow.

That’s it!

Together, these 5 elements make a powerful cocktail of skills that don’t just give you superpowers, they give you the confidence, freedom, and structure to build a business wildly profitable business that you’re also really freaking proud of.
